“His action does not represent the mandate, interest and personages of the people of Essien Udim. Rather, it is devoid of reason and maturity”, the group’s communique read in part.
Meanwhile, the group also passed a vote of confidence Governor Udom Emmanuel following his “superlative performance” in office, saying that they are fully committed to the governor’s re-election for a second term in 2019.
They said Mr Emmanuel’s leadership has promoted security of lives and property, the gesture which has also encouraged industrial and infrastructural development of the state.
Responding, the Speaker expressed gratitude to the Essien Udim leaders for the solidarity shown him, assuring that he would continue to protect and defend the interest of the area.
