* Undertakes mobilization of Ibiono women for Gov. Udom

Sandra Ini Ememobong, wife of the Akwa Ibom State PDP publicity secretary, has pledged to donate a borehole facility to Use Abat community in Ibibio Ibom local government area of the state.

Mrs Ememobong made the pledge, last week, while on a mobilization tour to “Ward 4” of Ibiono Ibom council area to sensitize women on the need to support the numerous projects of the Governor Udom Emmanuel’s administration.

She said the gesture is aimed at reducing the suffering that women and children encounter in the process of fetching water for daily domestic use.

The request for water in the community was unanimously made by the women while they addressed Mrs Ememobong on the prospects of the party and challenges faced by women and youths in Use Abat.

The women expressed gratitude to Mrs Ememobong for physically visiting the community and recognising their contributions to the politics of Ibiono Ibom local government area.

While touring the two villages of Nkwa and Use Abat, Mrs Ememobong urged women to continue in their support for Governor Udom Emmanuel and his wife, Martha, as they have the sincerity of heart to undertake a holistic development of the state .

The women assured their visitor of their political support to the governor and wife and also offered prayers to God for the sustenance of Mr. Emmanuel’s divine mandate.

Mrs Ememobong was accompanied on the tour by other women advocates for good governance and supporters of the Udom Emmanuel administration.

Meanwhile, her husband, Mr. Ini Ememobong, has saluted the gesture, describing it on the social media as a “bold move of taking the theory of humanization of politics to another realistic level”.

The United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) during the commemoration of 2018 World Water Day, last week, said that 69 million Nigerians do not have access to safe water, while 19 million have to walk long distances to get the commodity.

This will be a thing of the past soon in Use Abat community when Mrs. Ememobong’s project comes into fruition.
